Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays, but we are available to meet at any time based on your needs. Our office is located in the heart of Lafayette, LA.
Free Consultations
Initial consultations with our personal injury attorneys are completely free of charge and obligation. During your consultation, our attorneys will collect information about your case and explain how they can help.
Contingency Fees
In every case, we work exclusively on contingency, which means our fee will be a reasonable percentage of an eventual verdict or settlement. We never collect fees unless and until we secure compensation for clients.

FIVE GENERATIONS
Richard R. Kennedy and Richard R. Kennedy III are part of a long line of lawyers. The Kennedy family has practiced law in Louisiana for five generations. Our attorneys are proud to carry on the legal tradition of their forefathers, and they are honored to serve personal injury victims in Lafayette and all surrounding Acadiana parishes and communities in State and Federal Courts.
Richard R. Kennedy started our law firm in Lafayette over 50 years ago. Richard R. Kennedy III joined the firm in 2000. Together, they have secured millions of dollars for injury victims through fearless, thorough, and dedicated representation.
Joseph Albert Chargois
1840 – 1940
- He was admitted to the LA Bar in 1871 when Lafayette was known as Vermilionville, LA.
- He served as District Attorney for 12 years and then entered into the private practice of civil and criminal law.
John Lewis Kennedy
1871 – 1929
- Graduated Tulane Law School (Class 1899 – Valedictorian)
- He practiced criminal and civil law in New Orleans and then in Lafayette, LA.
